The Bloody Mary was my original favorite cocktail. It's basically a meal, so what's not to like? I used to order them at night, receiving a puzzled looks from bartenders. I now understand that the Bloody is more appropriate during the day. Sry?
I always seem to have trouble finding Bloody Mary mix that I like in stores. A few months ago I decided to make my own for a Secret Santa brunch party, and now I'll never go back. Most of these ingredients are to taste unless otherwise noted - make it to your liking!
- Tomato Juice (1 jar - V8 juice even works)
- Hot Sauce
- Onion Powder
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Celery Salt
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- juice from 1/2 lime
Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until peppercorns are broken up. Rim a glass with a blend of salt, pepper & cayenne. Add 2oz of vodka (I used Titos), ice & Bloody Mary mix. Garnish with a celery stalk, squeeze of lime, and any other fun savory things (olives! radishes! shrimp!) Enjoy!
